"Be Creative" Tegan, Gr 10 |
By the time students have reached high school, life experiences have already taught them that life is competitive, times are stressful, and circumstances are not always fair. It's so easy for teens - and adults alike - to become frustrated and react impulsively with negative attitudes and behaviours.
However, by celebrating positive human attributes, we can begin to behave differently. Rather than being competitive, frustrated, disconnected, greedy, or bitter; we can choose to be innovative, resilient, engaged, generous, and thankful. When we focus on positive characteristics and behaviours, we can change, not only our own experiences, but we can dramatically enhance the experiences of those around us.
It is the hope of this art class, that if more people celebrate life and value positive character traits, then people can engage meaningfully together.
With creativity, compassion, and courage we can build a more optimistic future.
